From October 5 to 7, we participated in a new edition of ProWine, one of the most important wine fairs in the world, which this time was held in the city of Sao Paulo, Brazil.
In the midst of a worldwide agenda, on Friday, October 1, Bodega Garzón performed a vertical tasting of Balasto from 2015 to 2018 for the Uruguayan specialized press led by Germán Bruzzone, winemaker, Eduardo Félix, Agronomist and Christian Wylie, Managing Director.
For the third consecutive year, Bodega Garzón integrated the top 5 of the World’s Best Wineries, this time achieving fourth place. In addition, this time it was the only Uruguayan winery to be present in the Top 50 of 2021.
On September 9, Balasto 2018, one of the Grands Vins du Monde, had its official launch at Place de Bordeaux, a place reserved only for the best wines in the world.
Last Tuesday, August 10, the launch of Expo Dubai 2020 was held at the Carrasco International Airport, a great event that brings together dozens of countries from around the world in 182 days to create, collaborate and innovate.
Tim Atkin, Master of Wine and one of the world’s most renowned wine critics, presented his annual report on Uruguayan wines, highlighting once again, the wines of Bodega Garzón with excellent scores.
We received the scores from Wine & Spirits, one of the leading North American magazines in the wine sector that every year grants scores to our wines.
As every year, we have received with great pride the scores granted to our wines by James Suckling, one of the most prominent critics in the sector, who rewards the best wines in the world.
For the second year running, we were chosen Winery of the Year by Guía Descorchados 2021, led by Chilean wine critic Patricio Tapia. In a very special year, in which Covid-19 pandemic almost stopped the world, at Bodega Garzón we continued working in pursuit of expanding markets and taking Uruguayan wines to the world.
