For the second year running, we were chosen Winery of the Year by Guía Descorchados 2021, led by Chilean wine critic Patricio Tapia.
In a very special year, in which Covid-19 pandemic almost stopped the world, at Bodega Garzón we continued working in pursuit of expanding markets and taking Uruguayan wines to the world.
Once again, we had the honor of receiving such a great news for the entire team, an acknowledgement that follows many others obtained in 2020, such as #2 World Best Vineyards to Visit, World’s Best Winery Restaurant by Decanter, and being included in the Top 100 Wineries by Wine Enthusiast.
In addition to being chosen best winery, Garzón also obtained outstanding scores and special mentions for Balasto, with 97 points as best Uruguayan wine and best red wine, Petit Clos Albariño best white wine and Uruguay’s best Albariño, Single Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc as best Sauvignon Blanc and Reserva Pinot Noir Rosé best new wine.
Every year, Guía Descorchados awards the most important wines and wineries of America, which are then invited to participate in three important events in Sao Paulo, Miami and New York.
