Bodega Garzón continues conquering international markets and placing Uruguay in the global wine map. This time we received important distinctions at the Sakura Japan Women’s Wine Awards, a competition that rewards the world’s finest wines.
The Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Enzo Bench, was in charge of collecting the prizes which included the Diamond Trophy 2019, awarded to Petit Clos, which also obtained a Double Gold.
“This is very important, because we are in Japan celebrating the high quality meat trade, but also, our wines are entering the Asian markets” said Benech after receiving the award.
Wineries from 34 different countries participated in this wine competition. This was the event’s sixth edition, and the jury consisted only of women.
“We are interested in markets that are challenging and that pay good prices for our products, and this is a great opportunity to stand out”, he added.
