2018 was an iconic year for us, since we obtained the prestigious acknowledgement of New World Winery of the Year by the magazine Wine Enthusiast, we strengthened our position as leaders in Uruguayan wine exports and this way, we spread the excellence of our wines and the expression of our land to over 35 countries in all 6 continents. During the last years our exports have grown exponentially, becoming one of the world’s most famous wines. Today, 1 out of 3 dollars from Uruguayan wine exports, correspond to Bodega Garzón.
Leads in exports
Our Garzón Tannat Reserva accounted for almost the 42% of those exports, which is a source of pride for us and for our country, given that Tannat has been for many years now, Uruguay’s flagship variety.
The world’s most important specialized media, such as Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast, Wine & Spirits, Decanter, Descorchados and Robert Parker, have graded our wines with over 90 points.
Looking back, 2018 was certainly unique, an amazing year where some of our dreams came true. However, we are now focused on the future, on this year ahead of us, in order to continue improving and to keep shaping our destiny.
