We are proud to announce that Bodega Garzón has been nominated for New World Winery of the Year at the 2018 Wine Stars Awards organized by the prestigious American magazine Wine Enthusiast. The awards will be announced on November 8 and the gala will take place on January 29 in the city of Miami.

This is undoubtedly a great recognition for the work carried out by Bodega Garzón for more than a decade. This process has positioned Uruguayan wines in different markets and put the country on the world wine map.
The nomination to this award comes after great achievements in the last years; Garzón once again closed the fiscal year being the leading Uruguayan winery in exports. It also launched Balasto 2016, its icon wine at the exclusive Place de Bordeaux, opened the private club The Garzón Club, and had its Tannat Reserva 2015 selected to be included in the Top 100 of Wine Spectactor magazine.
Bodega Garzón is 19,050 m² and will be the first sustainable winery outside North America complying with the strict requirements set by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC). The LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) certification is a certification system developed by the US Green Building Council composed of a set of regulations on the use of building sustainability strategies.
This avant-garde building is located on natural terraces making the process of gravity winemaking possible. Advanced technology and a technical team of excellence also contribute to the production of fine wines of the highest quality with a marked identity, strong personality and sense of place.
The winners will be announced on November 8 and the awards ceremony will take place on January 28 in Miami.
