On Thursday 10th, Friday 11th, and Saturday 12th March, we celebrated the opening of Bodega Garzón with three major events attended by local and international journalists, government authorities, leading regional entrepreneurs, major customers, and the winery team.
We are pleased to announce with great enthusiasm the opening of our exclusive boutique winery of international vintner Alejandro P. Bulgheroni, and located in the idyllic countryside of Garzón, Uruguay, with a series of exclusive events that will take place from Thursday 10 to Saturday, March 12.

In September 2013, the Association of Uruguayan Enologists (AEU) organized the “Concurso Internacional Tannat al Mundo 2013”. The contest, in which 145 wines from 54 wineries from Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia and Uruguay participated, sought to award the best wines of this particular grape.
This year, 2014, is very special for Bodega Garzón. On the one hand, in the following months we will inaugurate our new winery, which will become the first sustainable winery with LEED certification built outside North America. On September 20 and 21, the eight Paladaz Cozinha do Brasil contest took place in São Paulo. There, in the blind tasting of 12 South American wines, Bodega Garzón’s Tannat won the first prize.
