For the fifth consecutive year, Bodega Garzón is among the Top 10 Best Wineries in the World.
Bodega Garzón has been acknowledged again by World’s Best Vineyards, a contest that every year awards the best vineyards and wineries to visit around the world. On this occasion and for the fifth year running, Garzón is the only winery in Uruguay to be in the Top 10, ranking this year in sixth place in this selection made up of 100 wineries from 15 countries.
This time Garzón was again recognized for its architecture and sustainability, its wines and the excellent tourist experiences it offers to its visitors, such as its restaurant for 120 diners, which is under the culinary direction of renowned chef Francis Mallmann, and has an unparalleled view of its vineyard.
This great recognition follows other important international awards such as being chosen the Best of the New World 2018 by Wine Enthusiast, being in the Top 100 wineries of Wine & Spirits and the LEED Certification that confirms Garzón as the first fully sustainable winery in the world for all its facilities.
The election was made by more than 500 experts from the world of wine and was announced on July 12 at a gala held at Bodegas Beronia in La Rioja, Spain.
Bodega Garzón is an avant-garde building that has become the most important wine venture in Uruguay. Founded by Engineer Alejandro P. Bulgheroni and belonging to the Alejandro Bulgheroni Family Vineyards group, it has a vineyard of around one thousand three hundred plots and a sustainable building of 19,050 m².
Other milestones achieved by Bodega Garzón in recent years: Balasto 2015 launch in the exclusive Place de Bordeaux, inauguration of the exclusive Private Club The Garzón Club, and the outstanding inclusions of Balasto 2015 in the TOP 100 ranking of Wine & Spirits, Tannat Reserva 2015 in the TOP 100 of Wine Spectator magazine, Tannat Single Vineyard 2017 in Masters Of Wine, being chosen as Winery of the Year by Patricio Tapia’s Descorchados Guide in 2020 and 2021 and having the best Winery restaurant according to the prestigious Decanter.
