Wine&Spirits is an American magazine specialized in the wine industry and one of the most important in the world. Every year, it awards the best wines with scores that are highly valued by the specialized press and consumers from the all over the world.
This year, Bodega Garzón was again a great highlight, with seven wines awarded with more than 90 points. These were:
Balasto 2020 – 94 points.
Marselan Reserva 2021 – 94 points.
Petit Clos Tannat 2020 – 93 points.
Tannat Reserva 2021 – 93 points.
Tannat Single Vineyard 2020 – 92 points.
Cabernet Franc Reserva 2020 – 90 points.
Albariño Single Vineyard 2022 – 90 points.
It is worth mentioning that Wine&Spirits had selected Bodega Garzón within its Top 100 Wineries of the World in 2020, being the first Uruguayan winery to be included in this prestigious ranking.
Bodega Garzón is an avant-garde building that has become the most important wine venture in Uruguay. Alejandro P. Bulgheroni and his wife Bettina, belonging to the Alejandro Bulgheroni Family Vineyards group, it has a vineyard of more than 1,200 plots and a sustainable building of 19,050 m².
It also has an exclusive restaurant for 120 diners with the renowned Argentine chef Francis Mallmann as ambassador and culinary director, and several wine tourism proposals to enjoy its facilities throughout the year.
Other milestones achieved by Bodega Garzón in recent years: Balasto’s launch in the exclusive Place de Bordeaux, opening of the exclusive Private Club The Garzón Club, and the outstanding inclusions of Balasto 2015 in the TOP 100 ranking of Wine&Spirits, Tannat Reserva 2015 in the TOP 100 of Wine Spectator magazine, Tannat Single Vineyard 2017 in Masters Of Wine, being chosen as Winery of the Year by Patricio Tapia’s Descorchados 2020 Guide and having the Best Winery Restaurant according to the prestigious Decanter.
