Summer has arrived in the southern hemisphere and in Bodega Garzón we embrace a new vintage, one of the most important moments where we harvest the fruits obtained after a whole year of work in the vineyards.
This task continues until March, given that there are over 230 hectares to harvest by hand, which are later placed in wooden crates and taken to the winery. During the entire process the quality of the grapes is properly cared for.
In this first stage the white varieties are harvested, such as Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio, which have reached sufficient ripeness. The red grapes like Tannat or Marselan reach their optimum level of ripeness in February, provided that the weather conditions are as expected for this time of the year.
The wines produced with fruits harvested in this vintage will be ready as of mid-2020 (white varieties) and during 2021 (red varieties).
