Last Saturday, March 19th, Bodega Garzón celebrated its Harvest Festival, the most important event of the year.
After a year in which this celebration could not take place due to the pandemic, Bodega Garzón celebrated again the closing of the harvest 2022 with this great event that was attended by almost 300 people, local and international press.
This time the party began at sunset, with the guests harvesting grapes in the vineyard, surrounded by an unparalleled and privileged natural environment, with native forests, lakes and natural palm trees. The vineyard has over 1,200 plots, each with its own microclimate varying in orientation, sun exposure and soil characteristics.
After the harvest, the guests were invited to join a tour inside the winery to learn about Garzón’s technology and the winemaking processes of the different lines of wines. Together with winemaker Germán Bruzzone, they were able to learn about the step-by-step process from the moment when the grapes enter the building until they are vinified, bottled and labeled. A process that is carried out with the highest quality standards and with innovation applied to the care and efficiency of energy resources. It is worth mentioning that Bodega Garzón is the first winery in the world to obtain LEED certification for its fully sustainable design for all its facilities and functionalities.
In the evening, the meeting took place in the Garzón town square, which was specially decorated with dozens of light screens, candles and a large table decorated with grapevines, grapes and other distinguishing elements to harmonize this great evening. Upon arrival at the square, the participants were greeted by the characteristic fire show of renowned Chef Francis Mallmann, Culinary Director of Bodega Garzón’s restaurant and in charge of preparing a special menu for the occasion paired with different Garzón wines, with live music by a DJ and a selection of different wines, among which a red blend in double magnum format prepared especially for this night by the winemaker stood out.
This great party combined the best of fire cooking, wine, local culture, music and the magic of Bodega Garzón and Pueblo Garzón, two unique places in Uruguay.
An unforgettable experience for another great harvest year.
