Internationally recognized as one of the world’s top wineries, Bodega Garzón is celebrating a decade of success in Brazil. Since its arrival in 2014, it has experienced exponential growth, becoming one of the preferred brands among Brazilian wine consumers.
The story of this Uruguayan winery in Brazil began ten years ago when Alberto Antonini, the consulting winemaker for Garzón and one of the most acclaimed winemakers in the world, visited Celso La Pastina, the founder of World Wine, in São Paulo. World Wine is one of Brazil’s leading wine importers, boasting an extensive portfolio of internationally recognized brands known for their quality.
Following this visit, Garzón wines were added to World Wine’s catalog, marking the beginning of a strategic alliance between the two companies that has yielded great results. Garzón has established itself as a benchmark winery in the Brazilian market, distinguished by the quality and innovation of its wines.
The winery, recognized with numerous international awards, has won over Brazilian palates and is present in major specialty stores, renowned restaurants, and large events such as the Gramado Festival, the Formula 1 Grand Prix, PGA Tour Americas, Rio Open Tennis, Mesa São Paulo, Descorchados, and ProWine São Paulo, among others.
Additionally, its wines have been featured in leading media outlets in the country, including Veja, Istoé, Valor Econômico, and Prazeres da Mesa, among others.
Celebrating the Future
To commemorate a decade of the brand’s presence in Brazil, a series of special events are being organized for 2024. These include a visit from the Garzón team to Brazil to participate in wine tastings with clients and specialized media, Garzón’s presence once again at the Formula 1 Grand Prix in São Paulo, participation in ProWine São Paulo, and an invitation for the World Wine team and journalists to visit Bodega Garzón for an exclusive session with Alberto Antonini.
“It is a great source of pride for our entire team to see what we have achieved in Brazil over these 10 years, thanks to the collaborative work with World Wine. We have been able to share the essence of our wines with an audience that values the quality and character of our products, positioning ourselves as one of the standout wineries in such an important market as Brazil, with a presence in the best stores, restaurants, and events,” commented Christian Wylie, CEO of Bodega Garzón.
