Last Saturday, March 16th, Bodega Garzón once again celebrated the Harvest Festival, the most important event of the year, which has become a classic event every season in Garzón, and which gathers more than 400 people from different nationalities who come to Uruguay just to enjoy this special day.
On this occasion, the event began in the morning with a reception for the guests at the winery, who had the opportunity to visit every corner and learn with Alberto Antonini, consultant winemaker of Bodega Garzón and one of the world’s leading winemakers, the process of making these fine wines that respects the highest standards of quality and innovation applied to the care and efficiency of energy resources. Bodega Garzón is the first winery in the world to obtain LEED certification for its fully sustainable design for all its facilities and functionalities.
Afterwards, guests were able to enjoy the harvest experience in the vineyard, hand-picking Marselan grapes and carefully placing them in crates, just as they are harvested every year in the more than 250 hectares of vineyards in Garzón.
Once the tour of the winery was over, the guests moved to the main square of Pueblo Garzón, where they were welcomed with live music by the Orquesta de las Mil Melodías and a lunch with different fire stations included in a menu created by Francis Mallmann, culinary director of Bodega Garzón’s restaurant, and prepared by his team. The lunch featured a wide variety of red meats, white meats and seasonal vegetables and was accompanied by a special selection of wines: Magnum Albariño Single Vineyard 2023, Magnum Pinot Noir Rosé Reserva 2023, Magnum Tannat Single Vineyard 2016 and a special blend made for this party in 3-litre Double Magnum gauge.
In addition, guests were able to enjoy a special edition in Methuselah format (6 lts.) of Balasto 2020, one of the Grands Vins du Monde that was officially launched in the exclusive Place de Bordeaux, at the end of the lunch.
The party continued until sunset, with DJ Brian Rial and an open bar where guests could enjoy Tannat Reserva, Sauvignon Blanc Reserva and Cabernet Franc Reserva.
The event was attended by Alejandro P. Bulgheroni, Bettina Bulgheroni and Alejandro Bulgheroni junior, owners of Bodega Garzón.
The Harvest Festival celebrates another great harvest for Bodega Garzón. An event that brings together the best of fire cooking, wine, music, nature and the magic of Bodega Garzón.
