It is with great pride that we announce that our Tannat Single Vineyard 2020 was awarded 95 points, Gold Medal and Trophy at the International Wine Challenge (IWC), one of the world’s most important wine competitions held in London since 1984. This event brings together a large panel of experts from the wine industry to participate in a blind tasting where the most outstanding labels in the world are chosen.
This year, our Tannat Single Vineyard 2020 was the only Uruguayan wine to receive these outstanding recognitions, positioning once again Garzón wines in the most prestigious markets.
Aged for 12 to 18 months in 25 and 50 HL French oak untoasted barrels, this 100% Tannat wine has an intense purple color and an elegant nose with aromas reminiscent of red fruits such as cherries and strawberries, black plums, tobacco and dark chocolate over a spicy undertone. On the palate it is juicy and fresh, full-bodied with a very pleasant sensation and a long, vibrant finish.
