Last Friday, March 13, Bodega Garz\u00f3n celebrated a new edition of its already iconic Harvest Festival, an event that has become one of the most prominent gatherings of Uruguay\u2019s summer calendar. More than 400 guests from different parts of the world traveled \u05d1\u05de\u05d9\u05d5\u05d7\u05d3 to experience a day that combined wine, gastronomy, music, and nature in an unparalleled setting.<\/p>\n
The celebration brought together representatives from Winebow, the exclusive importer of Garz\u00f3n wines in the United States, and World Wine, its counterpart in Brazil, along with journalists, specialized media, and international opinion leaders, who enjoyed an immersive experience in the heart of the vineyards.<\/p>\n
A reception among the vines<\/strong> As every year, attendees actively participated in the manual harvest of Marselan grapes, a highly anticipated moment that allows guests to become directly involved in one of the most important stages of Garz\u00f3n\u2019s winemaking cycle, developed across more than 250 hectares of vineyards.<\/p>\n The winery\u2019s consulting winemaker, Alberto Antonini, referred to the 2026 harvest as a very balanced year from a climatic perspective, with conditions that allowed for slow and even ripening of the grapes. He noted that the wines from this vintage are shaping up with great aromatic expression, natural freshness, and a structure that promises excellent quality and potential, consistent with the winery\u2019s outstanding recent vintages.<\/p>\n An unforgettable lunch in the heart of the vineyard<\/strong> The gastronomic proposal was paired with a carefully selected range of wines from the Reserva, Single Vineyard, and Field Blend lines, with special mention of the Imperial bottle of Balasto 2020, one of the Grands Vins du Monde launched on the exclusive Place de Bordeaux.<\/p>\n The day continued until sunset with music by DJ Brian Rial, who once again joined the celebration, adding rhythm and energy to an experience that naturally blended wine, gastronomy, and music.<\/p>\n The event was attended by the owners of Bodega Garz\u00f3n, Eng. Alejandro P. Bulgheroni and his wife, Dr. Bettina Bulgheroni, who accompanied guests throughout the day and shared the celebration, reinforcing the family spirit that distinguishes the winery.<\/p>\n The Harvest Festival 2026 once again reflected the spirit of Bodega Garz\u00f3n: a proposal where winemaking excellence, haute cuisine, and respect for nature come together to create memorable experiences, positioning Uruguay on the map of the world\u2019s great wine destinations.<\/p>\n
Unlike the previous edition, the reception took place directly in the vineyard, where guests were welcomed by the live music of \u201cLa Mesa De Los Lunes,\u201d creating a relaxed and festive atmosphere in direct contact with the landscape. A fully open-air experience centered around the vineyard.<\/p>\n
Lunch, curated by Francis Mallmann, took place among the vineyards, with a specially arranged table for more than 400 guests, reinforcing the spirit of shared celebration and connection with the landscape. It began with a starter of smoked heirloom tomato salad, accompanied by yogurt sauce and 5 Jotas cured ham, followed by a fire-cooked creamy rice as the main course, presented in different versions: vegetable rice with aioli, lamb rice slow-cooked for seven hours with sriracha aioli, and seafood rice with parsley aioli.<\/p>\n
