This time, Balasto\u2019s 2017 vintage was presented at La Place de Bordeaux for the third year in a row, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">a place reserved only for the world\u2019s finest wines.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Balasto\u2019s first presented vintage was 2015 and was launched in Vinexpo Bordeaux 2017, with the attendance of Alejandro P. Bulgheroni, Alberto Antonini, Francis Mallmann and General Manager, Christian Wylie.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><b>This new 2017 vintage has already obtained 95 points according to renowned wine critic James Suckling.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Balasto is the type of soil present in the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">terroir<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> of Garz\u00f3n, formed by decomposed granite that provides excellent drainage and minerality, resulting in a wine with great complexity, produced with a blend of four varieties: Tannat, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Marselan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Following the advice of renowned Argentinian enologist, Alberto Antonini,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Bodega Garz\u00f3n espouses a philosophy focused on producing wines that are a true expression of our <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">terroir.<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cHaving a thorough understanding of the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">terroir<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, enables the production of wines that carry a stronger sense of the place. The biodiversity, the soil structure and composition, the hills and the exposure they provide to the vineyards, the proximity to the ocean and the influence of its clean breeze make Garz\u00f3n a unique place for the elaboration of top-quality wines\u201d.
