On January 28th we attended the awards ceremony of the Wine Star Awards, held in Miami by prestigious magazine Wine Enthusiast, where we were chosen as the New World Winery of 2018.<\/span><\/p>\n

The event took place in the exclusive Eden Roc Miami Resort, and included renowned personalities of the wine industry as well as journalists specialized in the subject.<\/span><\/p>\n

The New World Winery of 2018<\/h2>\n

Alejandro P. Bulgheroni, owner of Bodega Garz\u00f3n, received with great pride this historical distinction for Uruguay, a spectacular close of an unforgettable 2018 for the company. This award represents an acknowledgement to the work carried out for over a decade, positioning Uruguayan wines in numerous markets worldwide; to the work that this great enterprise undertakes in the field of tourism and the winemaking culture in general; and an innovative approach regarding production methods that constantly seek excellence in their wines. The awards ceremony was also attended by Christian Wylie, General Manager of Bodega Garz\u00f3n, Germ\u00e1n Bruzzone, Winemaker, Eduardo F\u00e9lix, Agricultural Engineer, Alec Griffiths, Export Manager, and Nicol\u00e1s Bonino, Marketing Manager.<\/span><\/p>\n

This award followed the achievement of great milestones: the closing of fiscal year as the Uruguayan winery leader in exports, the launch of Balasto 2016 in the sophisticated <\/span>Place de Bordeaux<\/span><\/i>, the opening of exclusive private club The Garz\u00f3n Club, and the outstanding presence of Balasto 2015 in the ranking TOP 100 of Wine & Spirits and Tannat Reserva 2015 in the Top 100 of Wine Spectator magazine.<\/span><\/p>\n

During the ceremony, the guests were invited to watch the trailer of the first episode of It Starts With Wine, a series broadcasted by Amazon Prime and produced by Wine Enthusiast, which has Bodega Garz\u00f3n, Francis Mallmann and Alberto Antonini as protagonists.<\/span><\/p>\n
