After a winter with relatively mild temperatures, the beginning of the cycle of vegetative growth of the vine (bud burst) occurred approximately two weeks early, which caused a direct impact in the evolution of grapes, reaching a better maturity with a positive impact in tannin levels (mostly, seed tannins).<\/span><\/p>\n

Also, during spring and until the beginning of summer, the rainfall was within the expected values, allowing a proper development of the canopy. Since January, it has decreased in comparison with previous values, causing severe water stress. This was compensated using drip irrigation along the entire vineyard surface, ensuring its proper development.<\/span><\/p>\n

This harvest will be remembered for its outstanding quality<\/b><\/h2>\n

As a result of a season of low rainfall, the <\/span>v\u00e9raison<\/span><\/i> was generally uniform, which is necessary for the plant to allocate all its energy in the development of the grape, prioritizing its ripening rather than the growth of the leaf area. Currently the weather has changed, the nights are colder and this is the time when the clusters reach optimum ripeness. This change in temperatures results in an excellent synthesis of anthocyanins, while the levels of acidity and sugar are balanced towards the end of the cycle, guaranteeing a year of great energetic wines. <\/span><\/p>\n

As a result of colder nights, we expect our Albari\u00f1o 2018 to be vibrant and elegant. Pinot Noir Ros\u00e9 outstands for its perfect balance between sugar and acidity, so ros\u00e9 2018 shall be the most fresh and energetic so far. The vintage of Tannat provided fruit with optimum levels of tannins that will be reflected in deliciously balanced wines. <\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
