Additionally, Uruguayan wines always have a prominent place in specialised press reviews. All this reflects how our country is growing in the wine industry.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Saveur<\/em>, the American magazine about culinary art and good living, published an\u00a0<strong>article on Uruguay and<\/strong>\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/bodegagarzon.com\/en\/winery\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bodega Garz\u00f3n<\/a><\/strong>, highlighting the special place our wines have in the industry.<\/p>\n<p>These are a few of the comments made by the journalist about our vineyards:\u00a0<em>&#8220;A patchwork of vineyard parcels lay like verdant puzzle pieces across the rolling hills. The way they\u2019re planted, we could be in Burgundy or Tuscany. Then I spot plump capybara scurrying around and lolling in the shade and it\u2019s clear we\u2019re far from France.&#8221;<\/em>\u00a0A beautiful account of the delightful oil and wine production landscape Bodega Garz\u00f3n bestows on visitors.<\/p>\n<p>She then further praises our winery:\u00a0<em>&#8220;&#8230;a winery with arguably the best terroir in all of Uruguay that\u2019s changing everything we know about the country\u2019s wine. If you\u2019ve tried Uruguayan wine, it\u2019s most likely a Tannat from the Canelones region. Bodega Garz\u00f3n aims to change that. Their reserve tannat is excellent, but the white wines, including Albari\u00f1o, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, and Pinot Gris are equally impressive, great for pairing with fresh meat and vegetables grilled over open flame and drizzled with olive oil.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/bodegagarzon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Garzon-desde-el-Aire-51.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/bodegagarzon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Garzon-desde-el-Aire-51.jpg\" alt=\"Garz\u00f3n desde el Aire 5\" width=\"728\" height=\"546\" \/><\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Throughout the article, the writer seduces her readers, even from the title:\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.saveur.com\/garzon-uruguay-wine-destination\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&#8220;Your Next Great Wine Trip is to\u2026Uruguay?&#8221;<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0She then describes all the wine tourism activities provided through Experiencia Garz\u00f3n: from a hot air balloon ride to olive harvesting and experiencing the creation process of extra virgin olive oil. There is also a paragraph devoted to\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/bodegagarzon.com\/en\/restaurant\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the newly opened restaurant<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0in our winery.<\/p>\n<p><strong>She also praises Alejandro Bulgheroni:\u00a0<\/strong><em><strong>&#8220;an Argentine businessman and international vintner<\/strong>, (he) is the largest employer in the <a title=\"Maldonado\" href=\"https:\/\/bodegagarzon.com\/en\/info\/maldonado\/\">Maldonado region<\/a>, with 900 employees shuttled to and from work daily on buses akin to what Google and Facebook provide in Silicon Valley.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/bodegagarzon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Sabores-de-Campo-1.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/bodegagarzon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Sabores-de-Campo-1.jpg\" alt=\"Sabores-de-Campo-1\" width=\"620\" height=\"413\" \/><\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Amber Gibson visited our extra-virgin olive oil boutique production plant, and states that\u00a0<em>&#8220;Much like Bodega Garz\u00f3n is pioneering a new wine region,\u00a0<strong>Colinas de Garz\u00f3n<\/strong>\u00a0is jumpstarting Uruguay\u2019s olive oil industry.\u00a0<strong>Here you can plant your own olive trees, test your tastebuds with a blind tasting<\/strong>, and blend your own oil with Arbequina, Coratina, Frantoio, Leccino and Picual varietals.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Uruguay is internationally recognised as a major wine region.
