This <strong>destination is clearly a must for lovers of good wine and architecture<\/strong>, or for those travelling to the region who crave an unforgettable experience during their visit.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3228\" src=\"https:\/\/bodegagarzon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/nl1.png\" alt=\"Bodega Garz\u00f3n\" width=\"800\" height=\"550\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>This venture dates back to 1999<\/strong>, when Engineer Alejandro Bulgheroni and his wife Bettina discovered their &#8220;little Tuscany in Uruguay&#8221; and began crafting a family dream which is now a reality.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3229\" src=\"https:\/\/bodegagarzon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/APB_Flia.jpg\" alt=\"Alejandro P Bulgheroni and family\" width=\"612\" height=\"492\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Opening a one-of-a-kind-winery in Uruguay<\/h2>\n<p>It is worth noting that this impressive building, which makes <strong>Bodega Garz\u00f3n a one-of-a-kind winery in our country and has also positioned Uruguay as a producer of premium <a href=\"https:\/\/bodegagarzon.com\/en\/winery\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wines<\/a><\/strong>, is undoubtedly one of the most important investments in the country in the last few years. This is why we had the honour and privilege to welcome distinguished guests at the opening, such as three former Presidents of Uruguay: Dr. Luis Alberto Lacalle, Dr. Julio Maria Sanguinetti, and Jos\u00e9 Mujica, and former President of Spain, Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Aznar.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3230\" src=\"https:\/\/bodegagarzon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/nl2.png\" alt=\"opening Bodega Garz\u00f3n\" width=\"800\" height=\"550\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Vice President Ra\u00fal Sendic<\/strong>, who was also in attendance, briefly addressed the audience to stress the significance of this project and joined Engineer Alejandro Bulgheroni, his wife and children in cutting the ribbon.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3231\" src=\"https:\/\/bodegagarzon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/nl3.png\" alt=\"opening Bodega Garz\u00f3n\" width=\"800\" height=\"550\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The ceremony was also attended by <strong>Cardinal Daniel Sturla<\/strong>, who blessed the winery<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3232\" src=\"https:\/\/bodegagarzon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/nl4.png\" alt=\"Inauguraci\u00f3n Bodega Garz\u00f3n\" width=\"800\" height=\"550\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Imprinted in this striking building is our clear vision to propose a paradigm shift that will set a new standard for the region, always seeking the greatest quality, <strong>while also being highly respectful of the environment and managing to turn this intervention into a tool for integration<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3233\" src=\"https:\/\/bodegagarzon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/nl5.png\" alt=\"Bodega Garz\u00f3n\" width=\"800\" height=\"550\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>First LEED-certified winery<\/h2>\n<p>This building is set to make Bodega Garz\u00f3n the first sustainable winery built outside North America to receive the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification, meeting the strict requirements of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC), which consist of a set of standards on sustainable building strategies.<\/p>\n<p>One of the varietal wines currently produced in our winery is Tannat, a Uruguayan classic, but we also offer a great variety of white wines, such as Albari\u00f1o, Pinot Gris, Viognier, or Sauvignon Blanc, and a ros\u00e9 variety, Pinot Noir Ros\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3234\" src=\"https:\/\/bodegagarzon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/nl6.png\" alt=\"Bodega Garz\u00f3n\" width=\"800\" height=\"550\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Bodega Garz\u00f3n is now open<\/strong>: a one-of-a-kind place in the country, which invites visitors to enjoy an exclusive menu in our restaurant, with a breathtaking view of our vineyards, as well as unforgettable experiences including tours and tasting of some of our leading products.<\/p>\n<p>For reservations and information:<br \/>\n<a href=\"mailto:reservas@experienciasgarzon.com\">reservas@experienciasgarzon.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3165\" src=\"https:\/\/bodegagarzon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/5-e1459863663241.jpg\" alt=\"Bodega Garz\u00f3n\" width=\"800\" height=\"278\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A formal ceremony was held on Saturday 12th March, the third consecutive day of events to celebrate the opening of Bodega Garz\u00f3n.
