Last Saturday, March 16th, Bodega Garzón once again celebrated the Harvest Festival, the most important event of the year, which has become a classic event every season in Garzón, and which gathers more than 400 people from different nationalities who come to Uruguay just to enjoy this special day.
We received the Descorchados 2024 Guide awards from renowned Chilean wine critic Patricio Tapia, considered a benchmark in the South American wine industry, which every year awards prizes to the finest wines in the region.
For the second time, a wine from Bodega Garzón is included in this prestigious international ranking, being once again the only Uruguayan winery to have a wine among the world’s best 100.
Attended by Alberto Antonini, consulting winemaker of Bodega Garzón and one of the world's leading winemakers, the avant premiere of Balasto 2020 was held in Uruguay for the specialized press at the Sofitel Hotel in Carrasco. This time, a new vintage of this wine was presented, which marked a milestone by being the only Uruguayan wine launched in 2017 in the exclusive Place de Bordeaux, a place reserved for the best labels in the world.
Last October, Bodega Garzón was once again distinguished by World Best Vineyards, a competition that awards in its ranking the best vineyards and wineries in the world to visit. On this occasion, for the fourth consecutive year, Garzón has been included among the Top 10, being this year the only Uruguayan winery in this ranking.
Last Tuesday, August 2nd, Bodega Garzón introduced its new image for this year with a dinner at the restaurant located in the towers of Fendi Château, a project of exclusive apartments recently inaugurated at Parada 17 of Playa Mansa, Punta del Este.

From October 21 to 23 we will be participating, in person, in a new edition of New York Wine Experience, one of the most important events in the wine industry. Organized by the prestigious Wine Spectator magazine, this fair brings together great references and the world’s best wines in the world for 3 days in one single location in New York City, one of the world’s major capitals.
From October 5 to 7, we participated in a new edition of ProWine, one of the most important wine fairs in the world, which this time was held in the city of Sao Paulo, Brazil.
For the third consecutive year, Bodega Garzón integrated the top 5 of the World’s Best Wineries, this time achieving fourth place. In addition, this time it was the only Uruguayan winery to be present in the Top 50 of 2021.
Our wines were once again featured in the International Wine Challenge, one of the most prominent competitions in the United Kingdom that rewards the best wines in the world in a “blind tasting” with experts from different parts of the world.
As every year, Deschorchados Guide, led by renowned Chilean wine critic Patricio Tapia, delivered the scores and acknowledgments for the region’s best wines.
