The olive harvest experience

Don’t miss the experience of being part of our harvesting team, and participate in the elaboration process of the most awarded extra virgin olive oil of South America.

Guided by our qualified staff you will be able to harvest our olive trees and learn all about this stage of the oil making process.

Includes

  • Joining the harvesting team of the most awarded extra virgin olive oil in South America.
  • Tour around the olive and almond tree plantations, getting to see Colinas de Garzon’s windmills.
  • Screening about the origins and culture of the olive oil.
  • Videos and tour around the extra virgin olive oil Boutique Production Plant, where you will learn about the elaboration process.
  • Colinas de Garzón extra virgin olive oils and Bodega Garzón wine tasting, accompanied by selected cheeses and home-made bread.

  • Available Wednesday through Sunday, during harvest season (March to the end of May).
  • Reserve: 48 hours in advance at least.
  • Duration: 3 hours.
  • Property: Colinas de Garzón.

“An A+ Experience of an Olive Ranch with Olive Oil and Wine Tasting” February 19, 2016

Jeff P. We arrived in Punta del Este, Uruguay via cruise ship and arranged through Excellence Tourismo an excursion to visit Experience Garzon. The tour included a pick up at the port by our driver Jorge (sp?) and his son Geronomo (sp?), who served as our guide and English speaking translator on the drive. Jorge and Geronomo were incredibly friendly and very accommodating - as full of knowledge and equally inquisitive about our culture and lives. The van was clean and comfortable (and air conditioned!). We arrived at Bodega Garzon and were greeted by a really warm and friendly guide. The tour included a very professional video, with introduction in parts by our guide who gave history and explanations, answered questions and then gave a view of the various production facilities where they process the olives into oil. We were then given a drive around parts of the 500-acre property (!!!) and we returned to a really beautifully laid out tapas-like lunch of olive oils, olives, almonds, cheese and bread with wine and water to sample. The whole experience was excellent, very professional while also being warm and welcoming! I've been on a fair number of excursions and tours, and this one - I highly recommend this.
